The Supportive Housing Providers Association (shpa) provides service and programming in three areas:(1) training and technical assistance: under a contract with the Illinois department of human services, shpa provides training and technical assistance to Providers of Supportive Housing for individuals experiencing homelessness for accurate delivery, recording and reporting of services provided. (2) resident Supportive services and education(3) advocacy and administration: with the financial support of the shpa Association membership, shpa provided advocacy for continuing and additional funding from state government for Supportive Housing services. Shpa also provides member services to 90+ member Providers and affiliates.
