Theater Theater Bug inspires young people to create community and build confidence through educational experiences in the performing arts. In the summer of 2021, they produced an original musical called "Selfie" that addressed social media, body positivity, and bullying. The production featured a virtual cast that was filmed prior to the live performance due to pandemic constraints.

Production of 7 Ways to Sunday:7 Ways to Sunday is an original musical that addressed depression and Suicide. This production was presented in partnership with The Tennessee Suicide Prevention network. It featured 35 students and 3 adult professional actors plus a professional 6 piece live band. The show was met with rave reviews and a nearly sold out run.Winter Concert:Our 11th Winter Concert sold out every night of a 325 seat venue with several videos that received over 1 million views after the production. The show featured 45 students and a 6 piece live band.The Ten Minute Play Festival:Ten Minute Play Festival featured 8 original plays by students that were performed and directed by adult Nashville professionals and student actors. One of those plays was selected to be developed into a full play which will be produced in spring 2024.Student written production:My Favorite Season was an original play written by a Theater Bug student. The show centered around a teen with Dissociative Identity Disorder and was developed and produced in Partnership with the National Association of Mental Illness. The author's real life diagnosis inspired them to write a character that felt like a positive and more accurate representation of mental illness for other young people facing mental health crises to know they are not alone. The show was performed by 25 youth actors in a completely sold out run.Summer one act play:Sarah and the Secret of the Cellar was a one act play written by local Nashville Writers Osborne and Eppler and performed by two casts of 20 students.
