Program areas at The Transgender Resource Center of New Mexico
Drop-in services: tgrcnm's community drop-in Center offers a wide array of free services to community members. These services include, but are not limited to: access to food, clothing, showers, laundry, and computers; non-medical case management including emergency financial assistance, identity document support, and linkage to care with other community agencies and service providers; information and referrals to affirming providers; video visits, letter writing and limited commissary support for Transgender individuals living in correctional facilities; and peer led support groups. These services are available statewide.
Tgrcnm provides multiple other programs that all add to its complete mission.
Hiv services: tgrcnm offers a harm reduction program which includes hiv testing, syringe exchange services and overdose prevention education. This program serves an average of 200 unique individuals annually.
