The Village also offers a multitude of in-home services that are not only available to our residents on The Village campus but also to people who live within The surrounding communities. These in-home services consist of home care, home health care, and hospice services. Home care ("aging-in- place") services provides in-home support services that can help clients maintain an active and healthy lifestyle. These services can be provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week and can range from as little as an hour to 24 hours of companionship, as needed. Home health care ("village-in- place") services provides quality home health care services to clients in their own home after hospitalization, a change in health status or when they need intermittent skilled home health care because they are homebound. Hospice ("village-in-place hospice") services provides palliative and supportive care to clients and their family in The peacefulness of their own home. Benevolent care: The Village provides care to residents who meet certain criteria under its benevolent care policy and are unable to pay for services. Because The Village does not pursue collection of amounts determined to be benevolent care, they are not reported as revenue. The cost of providing benevolent care is based upon direct and indirect costs identified with The specific benevolent care provided.
