Nursing Care Services: In providing nursing care services, The Village of St. Edward meets the diverse health, social and spiritual care needs of older adults who live in a structured, protected living environment. Since its inception in 1964, St. Edward has provided the highest level of compassionate care and services for its residents. The organization has built an exemplary record in delivering quality care and services and of regulatory compliance. The Village of St. Edward is a Catholic organization with historical ties to the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland. No other Catholic sponsored organization in the Akron area offers the same services and programs. The Village of St. Edward participates in both the Medicaid and Medicare programs. During 2023, Nursing Care provided 26,740 days of care.
Assisted Living Services: The Village of St. Edward provides Assisted Living services for a level of care between skilled nursing and independent living. During 2023, The Village provided 26,148 days of care in assisted living. The Village participates in the Assisted Living Waiver program, a long-term care option for Medicaid recipients, and offers an alternative to nursing home placement.
Independent Living Services: The Village of St. Edward believes in a long-term relationship with the older adults who reside in their community. In providing independent living services, not only does The Village of St. Edward provide living quarters attentive to the requirements of an aged population, but also opportunities for personal growth and enrichment. The Village's Independent Living services is an affordable living option for many low to middle income elderly residents of the Akron region. During 2023, the independent living facility provided 23,289 days of occupancy for high-functioning senior citizens.
Memory Care Services: The Village of St. Edward provides Assisted Living Memory Care services for a level of care designed to specifically to care for the aging population affected by dementia. During 2023, The Village provided 9,808 days of care in memory care. The Village participates in the Assisted Living Waiver program, a long-term care option for Medicaid recipients, and offers an alternative to nursing home placement
