Program areas at The Voter Project
Voter Education: Before 2020, Pennsylvanians had never voted early or by mail without an excuse in a general election. While signing people up to vote by mail and encouraging voters to voter early were crucial, we also needed to make sure they knew how to use these new voting options to avoid disenfranchisement. The Voter Project executed a significant voter education program to make sure all Pennsylvanians could vote in a safe, secure, and convenient way.
Safe and Secure Election: The Voter Project combats efforts to disenfranchise and intimidate voters. Additionally, The Voter Project conducts research to inform our planning and programs to ensure that every Pennsylvania voter, especially those who have been historically disenfranchised, is able to cast a ballot in a safe, secure and convenient way.
Vote By Mail: The Voter Project designed a focused voter by mail recruitment program in 2022 that focused on BIPOC, historically disadvantaged and low-propensity voters.
