Program areas at The W Edwards Deming Institute
The Deming Institute hosted its annual leadership seminar in columbus, Ohio, newly reformatted for 2-days (instead of 2.5), and with greater integration of The demingnext online learning platform to help participants better prepare for The learning event. 91 participants attended, representing a diversity of organizations and industries: healthcare, education, nonprofits, lumber industry, architecture, construction, audio-visual services, manufacturing, and food service.2023 was The first full year of demingnext online learning, after launching in april 2022. The platform continued to grow and see strong engagement, with The number of active users reaching 256 in march 2023. 56 new learning modules were added to demingnext in 2023 which now offers 334 total courses, including case studies and interactive modules. Custom organization portals have been built for 17 new client groups, including four educational institutions, and a three-year partnership was secured with a large building products company integrating demingnext on their learning management system. The Institute awarded ten scholarships to our 2-day leadership seminar in columbus, Ohio, some including travel for recipients from around The country. Ten scholarships were also awarded for one-year subscriptions to demingnext. Continuing to invest in our Deming team, The Institute hosted a 2-day board and staff retreat for The second consecutive year, fostering stronger relationships, collaboration, and teamwork as we work together to achieve The Deming Institute aim. Approximately 530 people from The us and around The world joined our email list in 2023. Deming Institute social media accounts have grown to 10,300 followers and our youtube channel has more than 9,000 subscribers. Our free learning resources added 12 new blog posts from guest contributors and 46 Deming podcasts, including episodes of our ongoing Deming in education series.
