Provide network members with peer connections, professional development, and project and strategy support to improve community resilience and fire outcomes in fire-prone places across The us.
372 trinity community protection phase ii - project expansion and continuation of The trinity community protection project, which will effectively increase The geographic scope of treatments, place of implementation, and acres treated on The landscape. This project is needed to address a range of threats across our communities and landscape. Trinity county has one of The most active fire regimes in ca, coupling extensive lightning events with human-caused ignitions to create both wide-ranging and long-duration wildfire complexes with roadside ignitions leading to high-intensity and destructive fires that directly impact communities, working forests and wildlands.
458 regional forest and fire capacity - increase regional capacity to prioritize, develop, and implement projects that improve forest health and fire resiliency, facilitate greenhouse gas emissions reductions, and increase carbon sequestration in forests throughout California.
