The Working Lands Trust sustains North Carolina's food and fiber supply by conserving working farms and forests from the Appalachians to the Outer Banks. To achieve this mission, it procures conservation easements to preserve farmland, scenic corridors, historic areas, important habitat and water quality buffers. Additionally, the trust monitors over 20 conservation easements covering more than 1,000 acres of preserved land.
