The organization has been engaged by local workforce investment boards (wib) in other states to be their one-stop operator and service provider. Currently, The organization is providing services to wib's in The states of Massachusetts, new york, Virginia, west Virginia and rhode island through various grants and contracts.
Youth programs - through The careerhub, we offer skills training as well as job search and placement services. Our team will provide tools to help young adults stay competitive in The workforce and The insight and confidence needed to impress potential employers. Young adults between The ages of 16 to 24 receive assistance with choosing and preparing for a career they can be proud of. The careerhub has a staff of knowledgeable workforce specialists who can help each young person discover their career interest and work toward attaining The skills needed to gain employment. Every participant receives individualized attention as services can be tailored to meet each person's needs and goals. Young adults up to age 24 living throughout southwestern Connecticut can apply to participate in training programs funded by The Workplace. Subject to eligibility criteria and funding availability. The Workplace is dedicated to helping young adults become valuable and self-reliant members of The community by offering skills training, as well as job search and placement services. Services offered include, but are not limited to: career coaching occupational training ged exam assistance job search assistance life management training entrepreneurial/administrative skills comprehensive counseling and guidance resume writing literacy support occupational access/training: construction healthcare hospitality services manufacturing customer service cdl licensing paid internships and more
Dislocated workers - total of 15,873 customers served at southwestern ct job works job centers; 74 wioa dislocated partcipants assigned individual training accounts. American job centers contracts. The organization has been engaged by local workforce investment boards (wib) in other states to be their one-stop operator and service provider. Currently, The organization is providing services to wib's in The states of Massachusetts, new york, Virginia, west Virginia and rhode island through various grants and contracts.
Temporary assistence for needy families - total of 802 jobs first participants served. American job centers contracts. The organization has been engaged by local workforce investment boards (wib) in other states to be their one-stop operator and service provider. Currently, The organization is providing services to wib's in The states of Massachusetts, new york, Virginia, west Virginia and rhode island through various grants and contracts.
