The World is Just a Book Away

Wijaba facilitated programs. The scope of wijaba's network includes schools served by our mobile and physical libraries, which are all within A 2-hour radius of local hub offices. The charity also facilitates community partnerships in indonesia, mexico, and The u.s. In 2017, wijaba focused on further developing and implementing its environmental educational program in partnership with jane goodall's roots & shoots. To date, we have achieved an impact of reaching approximately 72,081 children with 91 physical libraries, 2 mobile, 1 horse library, and our environmental education program: indonesia: environmental educational program in partnership with jane goodall's roots & shoots, we implemented 174 separate (con sch o) student led programs that impacted 4,350 children in environmentally hazardous regions throughout indonesia. We built 2 physical libraries during The year and launched 1 horse library that served 5 schools and 2,008 children in 2017. Mexico: we built 1 physical library in chihuahua, mexico. U.s.: we maintain 1 library in los angeles, California at The los angeles leadership academy charter school, which serves approximately 600 students.

The Book, The World Is Just A Book Away, was published by usc libraries press (usc) in 2017. The intention of The Book Is to promote literacy by highlighting how books and reading have inspired 60 people who include some of The World's most prominent figures such as nobel peace prize laureates, actors, royalty, World leaders, scientists, humanitarians, and many more. During The year, usc donated copies of this Book that The organization was able to sell totaling $6,400.
