Program areas at The Yes Lab
In fy 2023, The Yes Lab completed several workshops, videos, lectures (both in-person and remote), trainings, and exhibitions. The hands-on workshops served 220 students and professionals in The usa and europe, while The lectures and presentations reached thousands of viewers in both live sessions and streams. The organization also created two new films and continued The process of upgrading The website and directly delivering educational materials.highlights:educational outreach and advocacy included a partnership with The clean clothes campaign, cambodian garment workers, and The german collective "threads and tits" to create a public education campaign about The abuse of power and wage theft in The retail garment and shoe supply chain. Another successful partnership was developed with a coalition of groups that came together as "The barbie liberation organization" to address plastic pollution and climate change. Several new projects were also developed with vanguard sos on The topic of climate change and investment, and "say no to lng" on The topic of climate change. A campaign was also conducted with "glasgow calls out polluters. "The Yes Lab optioned The rights to The peace pipeline project to a canadian production company to turn it into a potential series, which also played in festivals worldwide and garnered several prizes.the Yes Lab continued to evolve The website and posted more educational materials highlighting methods for promoting civil discourse using The media. For example, principles in The Yes Lab served The educational mission of The organization by appearing in The documentaries "chop and steele," "why barbie matters" on deutsche welle, and on The podcasts "toys on tap and The bbc's "The digital human, and "sustain what" with andrew revkin.the Yes Lab continued offering courses in our curriculum (or "school") for creative activism, including events at The world congress for climate justice in milan, italy, carnegie mellon university, The swarm summit, champlain college, carnegie mellon university, rensselaer polytechnic institute, st. martin's college, and rhode island school of design.the Yes Lab also continued to promote The new educational video "enter The meddleverse" as part of The exhibition at carriage trade gallery in nyc and is in The process of editing several videos from The educational actions of The past year.overall, it was a very productive year for The organization that showed an increase in revenue and productivity as it emerges from a pandemic slowdown.
