Out of school time (ost) programs: The yw-nyc ost programs operate in nyc public elementary and middle schools, and are designed to balance teaching, fun, and creativity while supplementing a student's core subjects. Ost programs work to create a safe and nurturing environment designed to support academic achievement, enhance social skills and foster success in school and life. Our staff of diverse community-based educators work to create strong partnerships with The schools, families and community leaders in order to provide high-quality after-school enrichment activities.
Girls initiatives programs: The yw-nyc girls initiatives programs at The yw-nyc reflect our core belief that empowered girls become empowered women. Designed to inform, engage, and inspire Young people to become self-advocates, we aim to ensure that every girl gains The skills, knowledge, and confidence to pursue their education, career, and life options. Girls initiatives programs are focused on leadership and advocacy training, college and career preparation, health and wellness, and steaam education and skill-building. Our programs are open to all high-school aged self-identified girls and gender non-conforming youth in New York City. There is no academic requirement to enroll and no enrollment costs.
