Program areas at The Zakat Foundation of America

Food security, orphan care and sustainability programs:programs include The distribution of food packages/boxes which provided fresh produce, dairy and hot meals. The sustainability program was designated for food security and provisions of nutrition and economic sustainability through agriculture. This program included livestock distribution and vocational training, specifically for women. The orphan care program is comprised of food, clothing, schooling, essential needs, and seasonal religious festivity gifts for vulnerable children and single mothers.
Healthcare and education programs:comprehensive healthcare programs were delivered to The poor, needy, displaced and economically disadvantaged people in all inhabited continents. Services included preventive treatments, health education, mental health care, rehabilitative intervention, developmental treatment of children with special needs, nutritional counseling, and chronic illness treatments. Aid distributions included ppe (personal protective equipment), general sanitization items and medical supplies. Our educational programs included establishing schools/institutions (higher education and scholarship), vocational training centers (vtc), and developing programs aligned towards The brighter future of The community, specifically women, children, and single parents with The goal of making them economically independent.
Community development and water projects:recently, The role of The organization has inclined more toward emphasizing The development of community and transforming it into an intra-community integrated environment. This includes providing fresh and clean water to communities by constructing institutional community centers, safe houses (especially for women), shelters, clinics, places for worship, and other development programs in The us and abroad. Water wells & hand pumps were constructed in all regions of The world, mainly in sub-saharan africa and in The northern part of africa in mena. The purpose of The water projects is to provide access to fresh water, which is essential for life. These projects help The recipients water their fields and livestock and move toward sustainable living.
Emergency response programs:zakat Foundation of America responded to emergencies occurring from man-made or natural disasters very quickly. We operate based on 'response, rescue, recover', technically known as '3xr' to provided food, clothes, shelter, hygiene items, and harsh weather protective and relief goods to The victims of disasters, both domestically and internationally. This program aided victims of earthquakes (turkey, syria), floods (torrential rains in pakistan), storms, snow blizzards, twisters, drought relief, winter relief for refugees and The homeless people, globally & in The us.
