TBTB was honored to present God of Carnage, the very first revival of the 2009 Tony Award Winner for Best Play. The performance featured a diverse company of 4 artists, two of whom were performers with disabilities. The show integrated audio description and supertitle captioning into the production making it fully accessible to all audiences for every performance. God of Carnage was performed 33 times from April 18 May 20, 2023 at Theater Row, Theater 5 in New York City. TBTBs God of Carnage Performance was nominated by New York Citys Off-Broadway Alliance for Best Revival of a Play.
In September 2022, TBTB was invited to the 15th BIRD International Theatre Festival in Tottori, Japan and 14 TBTB members attended. At the festival, TBTB presented twoproductions, including an original piece with Japans JIYU / Freedom Theatre, featuring a combined cast from both theater companies. JIYU / Freedom Theater company, like TBTB, supports performers with disabilities. The collaboration was presented in both Japanese and English at the festival.
Advocacy: Throughout the 2022/2023 season, TBTB continued to represent the disabledcommunity by participating in both online and in person symposia with various city, community, and arts organizations. As the call for equity, diversity and inclusion has amplified, TBTB continues to lead by example, demonstrating that integrating disabled and non-disabled artists from all parts of our community leads to a more level playing field, collective unity, and richer, more impactful art for artists and audiences alike. The success of TBTBs work in this area was recognized as the Off Broadway Alliance, an organization of Off-Broadway producers, general managers, venue owners, press agents and marketing personnel dedicated to promoting and supporting Off-Broadway theater, named TBTBs Artistic Director, Nicholas Viselli a Legend of Off-Broadway and elected him to the Off-Broadway Alliance Hall of Fame!
