Description
The Theater Offensive’s Mission is to present the diversity of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender lives in art so bold it breaks through personal isolation, challenges the status quo, and builds thriving communities. Our work provokes vibrant discussion about the realities of being lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ or Queer). Through neighborhood social gatherings, workshops, performances and open discussions, the Theater Offensive transcends traditional theater boundaries and opens new avenues of understanding, awareness and inclusion.

Program areas at Theater Offensive

Fy 2023 continued to be an experimental year as we navigate changes brought on from The pandemic and begin to dream about use of our new space. This year, tto continued to experiment with hybrid events and continued to offer remote events, explore new ways to engage local qtpoc artists and to create new works via new mediums and with increased investments in virtual production methods. Tto onboarded a new batch of resident artists for a 2 year residency with The hope of presenting these new works in The space in 2025.
