Program areas at TLC

the tlc residential program houses 83 multi-handicapped adults across 12 group homes in the san fernando valley. Residents receive full time support for medical needs, behavioral support, day to day life needs, and opportunities for enrichment and growth through participation in the day program, along with the benefit of Living in a caring community where families can trust that their loved one is well cared for. This program is unique in that we support individuals that are both Blind and developmentally disabled.
Tlc provides free vision screenings for preschool and school age children throughout the greater los angeles area. Tlc also offers orientation and mobility training for people who are Blind or visually impaired to increase their independence both in the community and their homes and places of work.
the tlc creative arts program served 120 multi-handicapped adults in 2023. Participants take part in a multitude of classes aimed at increasing independent skills and expressing themselves through the arts. Classes include culinary arts, music, dance, ceramics, theatre, hand crafts, music therapy, aqua therapy, gardening, and many more. the program serves both residents and non-residents, meeting a critical need for vocational development for individuals with developmental disabilities.
