Program areas at Three Valleys Community Foundation
3vcf provides direct support to Community organizations. Three valley Community Foundation continued to provide strong donor engagement, nonprofit connections and Community grantmaking opportunities in the 2022/2023 timeframe. Examples include: ongoing fiscal support for the we are pleasanton Community group. 3vcf worked closely with this grassroots organization to help secure more than $225,000 in local donations for capital improvements at foothill high school in pleasanton. Ongoing fiscal support for the danville youth mental health outreach initiative, launched in fall 2022 to support organizations addressing youth mental health issues. Ongoing fiscal support for stories from pleasanton's past: powering the future, launched by local Community leaders to support the amador valley high school journalism program. In response to the unprecedented local floods in the greater sunol area, 3vcf launched an emergency fund - the sunol relief and recovery fund, raising more than $25,000 in donations and grants to assist local rebuilding efforts. 3vcf continued management of the pleasanton weekly holiday fund, raising more than $83,000 for ten local nonprofit organization. As part of 3vcf's commitment to the Community, direct fund expenses for each of these campaigns was absorbed by the organization so that 100 percent of all individual donations could go directly to the cause. In addition, 77 unique donors, corporations and government entities contributed to 3vcf's unrestricted 'founding champion' fund to provide additional support for administrative and organizational expenses.
In addition to the Community grantmaking identified above, 3vcf partners on several private donor advised funds (dafs) these individual funds provide donors with the ability to support local interests and qualified non-profit organizations. 3vcf provides the due-diligence oversite required with the fund distributions, even incubation services to technology.
