Program areas at Thrive Childcare
Thrive Ministries, inc. Dba Thrive Childcare provides faith-based Childcare and early educational services to families in Oregon, oh, perrysburg, oh and the surrounding communities. We provide care for children from 6 weeks to 13 years old. We service 250+ children on a monthly basis and employ 70+ staff members. Children are provided a loving, nurturing environment where their needs are met and they are encouraged and challenged to grow in all areas- spiritual, cognitive, physical, emotional and social. We provide fun and engaging school age programs during the school year and our camp Thrive summer program. In addition to high quality care and educational services, we also provide family resources, family fun nights and seminars/classes for families and staff.the Thrive Childcare centers in Oregon and perrysburg were the first centers in lucas and wood county to receive endorsement from the Ohio healthy program. The Ohio healthy program (ohp) aligns with our desire to impact the whole child. The overall goal of ohp is to deliver consistent messaging to adults who care for children aged 0-5 years to prevent obesity in early childhood and reduce risk of physical and mental health problems in childhood and adulthood. This is done through encouraging healthy eating and physical activity, and modifying screen time behaviors. This is a voluntary program which encourages staff and family involvement with healthy habits, healthy activities and healthy policies.both locations of Thrive Childcare are star-rated with step up to quality. Step up to quality (sutq) quality rating and improvement system administered by the Ohio department of education and the Ohio department of job and family services [jfs.ohio.gov]. Sutq recognizes and promotes learning and development programs that meet quality program standards that exceed preschool licensing [education.ohio.gov] and school age child care licensing [education.ohio.gov] health and safety regulations. Step up to quality program standards are based on national research identifying standards which lead to improved outcomes for children.additionally, both centers are accredited by association of christian schools international (acsi). Accreditation with acsi engages the school in a vigorous, holistic process of organizational appraisal and improvement that engages every school constituent (parents, staff, community partners and children.) Every step in the accreditation process is designed to be useful for driving improvement in private schools so they can truly flourish. Accreditation is a voluntary program intended to help schools grow, develop and exceed local, state and national standards.
