THRIVE-Gulu

Established in 2010 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization to address the unique needs of female survivors, we support communities in northern uganda to recover from the traumatic effects of war, displacement, and/or violence. Over time, thrive's mission has expanded to include humanitarian support for south sudanese refugees who have been forcibly displaced into northern uganda. Thrivegulu's vision is for a northern uganda in which all people are treated with dignity, live in safety, and have the chance to contribute to the good of the community. Thrivegulu understands that survivors of trauma require a range of support services. To this end, thrivegulu offers an array of signature services, including individual and family counseling, psychoeducation, establishment of village savings and loans associations, mentorship and seed money for income-generating activities, literacy, and gender-based violence programming.
