Thrive Hood River aims to protect Hood River's farmland, forests, and wild places as well as the livability of its cities and rural communities through various initiatives. They facilitated a 700-acre land exchange between the US Forest Service and Mt. Hood Meadows ski area resulting in Wilderness designation for over 2,000 acres in Mt Hood National Forest and protection of the Crystal Springs Watershed. They also advocate for affordable housing, design walkable streetscapes in The Heights, and promote community input into the Parkdale community planning process.
