Program areas at Ti Kay
Ti Kay, Inc. has developed a system for helping patients adhere to their medication programs because consistently taking their medicines is essential in treating Tuberculosis. Ti Kay's system involves former patients regularly calling current patients as a reminder for them to take their medicines. The former patients are provided with telephones, and given a small amount of transportation money in order to stay in contact with the new patients receiving treatment. Ti Kay, Inc. also supports patients in accessing testing for HIV, TB, and other infectious diseases. In addition, Ti Kay, Inc. educates patients on the importance of adhering to treatment and the public health impact of these diseases. Upon release from the clinic, Ti Kay Inc. helps patients to find housing, improved access to education, job training, and nutrition.
