Program areas at Timothy Hill Children's Ranch
We are licensed by the new york state office of children and family services to provide an alternative living arrangement for boys and girls. Our residential care facility houses children who are troubled, abused, neglected or come from troubled families. We provide a safe haven in ny for at-risk young people and help them restore their lives through a holistic approach that focuses on mind, body & soul. We transform hearts, strengthen character by modeling christ-centered values, change lives while maintaining core values which are christian based, people oriented and with an obedient spirit. Our program provides productive activities, vocational training, teaching residents responsibility and accountability to provide individual and family counseling which helps reunite the boys and girls with their families. Some of the children we have helped over the years have later returned to the Ranch to mentor new boys and girls that have been placed with us. We have approximately 488 volunteers who give generously of their time to assist us in our great accomplishments.
Timothy Hill's community is closely linked to our volunteer program, which brings a variety of in-kind services to Timothy Hill campuses. Volunteers range from individual to groups and include approximately 150 volunteers on the Ranch campus. Timothy Hill residents also go out into the community on a regular basis to integrate relationally into their backyard by assisting a variety of civic and community organizations, including riverhead rotary. These assignments are in accordance with Timothy Hill by-laws which state "to be a general resource to members of the community in need of assistance".
The retreats at center Hill lake in Tennessee and norwich lake in Massachusetts host a variety of large and small groups and individual guests year-round on the lakefront. The mission of the retreat centers is to provide a place of renewal, refreshment and restoration in a peaceful, hospitable setting. The retreat at center Hill lake is a setting primarily for church organizations with a wide variety of sixteen cabins of varying sizes and amenties that occupy the 139 acre campus, along with a lodge that hosts an additional 26 guest rooms in accordance with Timothy Hill by-laws.
