Program areas at Tippecanoe Senior Services
Meals on wheels greater lafayette. Providing hot meal service to seniors and those who have challenges getting meals on their own. Meals delivery service and congregate feeding service was provided to 410 seniors and or disabled individuals. Meals on wheels provided 80,000 meals in 2023. Meals were delivered 5 days per week excluding federal holidays.
Senior home assistance repair program (sharp). This program provides low-moderate income Senior homeowners with home repairs and accessibility accommodations to enable them to safely age in place. Common projects include furnaces, air conditioning, hand rails, grab bars, high rise toilets and roof repairs. All repairs are contracted with local licensed repair companies. This program provided 32 repair projects in 2023.
Tippecanoe Senior center. An activity center open to individuals 55+ years of age offering education programs, art classes, exercise classes, support groups, social activities and lunch time meal service. Hours are m-f 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. Closed for major federal holidays. 422 individuals visited the center in 2023.
