(domestic) advocacy/ communications/ research/ youth services:supported the u.s. department of justice's civil lawsuit against the major tobacco companies; advocated for funding for tobacco prevention and tobacco cessation programs as well as expanded insurance coverage for cessation services; continued to support implementation of the food and drug administration's authority over tobacco products; planned and implemented state-wide advocacy campaigns that hold elected officials accountable for tobacco issues, promote the proven solutions that reduce tobacco use and generate voter support for initiatives that advance tobacco-control.
