Program areas at Together Baton Rouge

COPE is a mental health strategy in partnership with Louisiana State University LSU that emerged post-pandemic dealing with the continuing trauma resulting from isolation. COPE facilitators conducted 60+ small group conversations with community members about their mental health challenges and coping methods. The Public Safety - Street Light Campaign addressed the community safety concerns due to poor lighting. TBR leaders initiated a streetlight canvassing campaign in 5 neighborhoods to identify and report light outages to the City Parish and Entergy the utility company. The efforts of TBR have greatly improved lighting in those areas and has given the residence some comfort now their neighborhoods have adequate lighting.
