Torah Lishmah Institute

The four volumes, volumes 7 - 10, of the encyclopedia of talmudic disputes and perspectives: beit hillel and shammai have been published and work has begun on distribution. Research is being done for volume 11. The volume(s) involve the compilation of the talmudic and midrashic statements of r. simon and r. chanina b. papa. Thereafter, we strive to understanding the perspectives from which each of these rabbis generates his rulings. R. simon follows in the traditions and perspectives of bar kapparaand reish lakish, two rabbis that were subjects of two previous volumes.

Work continues on the exploration of the concept of time in talmudic and rabbinic throught and its relationship to modern theories of cosmology.
