Program areas at Touchstone Health Services
Outpatient Services include outpatient therapy, psychiatric Services, school-based Services, intensive outpatient programs for mental Health and substance abuse, infant and early childhood programs, developmental and child parent psychotherapy, parent child interaction therapy and other support Services to improve the quality of parent child relationship, respite (temporary needed weekend break for parents or guardians), and care coordination and high needs case management.
Prevention includes the following: a) teen pregnancy prevention program funded by the u.s. department of Health and human Services centered on community and school-based awareness and education of teenage pregnancy prevention and sexually transmitted diseases; b) project aware funded by the substance abuse and mental Health Services administration (samhsa) and designed to improve the quality of life for youth between the ages of 12 and 18 by educating those who interact with youth on signs and symptoms of mental Health problems; c) drug education and prevention targets youth (ages 10-19) and adults caring for youth, which utilizes a multi-faceted approach to address youth substance use; and d) healthy relationships program aims to reduce and prevent teen dating violence.
Evidence-based programs ("ebp") include functional family therapy, multisystemic therapy ("mst") and multisystemic therapy for problem sexual behaviors ("psb"), which is designed for youth ages 11-17 (mst-psb starts at 10). These programs work with the youth and family where there is behavior, conduct, serious acting out or problematic sexual issues. Therapy Services are provided in the home or community.
Behavioral analytical Services (bas) provides evidence-based assessment and treatment grounded in the science of applied behavior analysis (aba). Specifically, touchstones expertise focuses on individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders, who display skill deficits and/or problem behaviors.
