Through the Toxic Free families program, Toxic Free nc promotes the reduction in children's and famiilies' exposure to Toxic chemicals in indoor and outdoor environments, including in homes, schools, and early education centers, and identification of opportunities to develop advocacy and education campaigns in partnership with parents and communities to eliminate harmful chemicals in consumer products.
Through the just and sustainable agriculture program, Toxic Free nc promotes the expansion of pesticide-free, local food, and the protection of North Carolina's agricultural workers and unique ecology. We highlight impacted species and environments as indicators of the distress caused by pesticide pollution and support coalition building among farmworkers and advocates as well as organic-practicing farmers in socially disadvantaged communities across our state.
