Description
Tracy's Kids uses Art Therapy to help young cancer patients and their families cope with the emotional stress imposed by the disease and its treatment. Our work ranges from providing individual art therapy sessions with inpatients who may be confined to their rooms. Throughout the pandemic, we were able to provide aid and comfort to the patients, siblings, and parents we serve thanks to the dedication, ingenuity, and commitment of our professionals who worked under our umbrella. Their improvisational skills helped us continue our mission without interruption.

Program areas at Tracys Kids

The art therapy programs that we funded in six different clinical settings worked with 5,000 people in 2023 - the year that the charity celebrated its 25th anniversary. That milestone caused us to reach out to former patients and families previously served by the charity, and included a reunion where art therapists, medical teams and the young adults that we helped navigate their cancer treatment were able to reconnect, share memories and continue on the path to emotional healing.
