Iron sharpens iron (isi) - we exist to see the youth leaders of the south bend community become positive influencers who challenge, encourage, and sharpen their peers, their families, and their community. We believe that heavily investing in a small number of students at a very deep level will produce greater long-term benefits. Isi served 75 students in the year ending june 30, 2024.
Scholarships - the organization provides a one year scholarship for any iron sharpens iron participant who graduates high school and chooses to attend college. Five scholarships were awarded during the year ending june 30, 2024.
Summer skills academy - the summer skills academy provides youth in the south bend area with loving relationships in a safe environment during summer break. Youth are able to pick a learning track, participate in group activities, receive two daily meals, participate in small group mentoring, and go on field trips. Ultimately, we desire for everyone to experience the hope and love that jesus offers. Summer skills served 62 students in the year ending june 30, 2024.
City light kids (clk) is a program for elementary students that meets weekly after school, throughout the school year. Clk fosters an environment of belonging and offers a space for each student to be known and accepted, providing a unique support system that comes alongside students, their immediate family, and the school system. During the course of a clk gathering, students will play, participate in life skills and enrichment activities, receive academic support, and share in a family style meal. 40 people participated in this program in the year ending june 30, 2024.
