In addition to initiatives in multiple states to improve civil commitment laws and policies, tac's team has provided on-the-ground technical assistance and has advocated for improvements to our signature issue, assisted outpatient Treatment, with federal grantees and other communities launching programs. The team has achieved major legislative and implementation successes in multiple states and the district of colombia.the tac team develops, creates and disseminates educational materials on law and policy changes, initiatives affecting individuals and families affected by severe mental illness. Staff also has launched training modules for professionals on assisted outpatient Treatment and conducted webinars on civil commitment, criminalization, and federal and nimh policy. Tac remains the go-to resource for families, lawmakers, and media on the specific issues arising from severe mentalillness.
