Community services:sponsors education, recreation, social and spiritual programs to all individuals and families within the tri county area. Not for profit agencies served include adirondack samaritan counseling center, adirondack vets house, caritas, Inc., family service association, greater adirondack home aides, greater glens falls senior citizens center, moreau community center, salvation army and the senior center of the kingsbury fort edward area, Inc. see schedule i or more details regarding agencies served.
To promote volunteerism within the community and maintain an office to match volunteers with organizations in need of assistance. To provide tax preparation and filing assistance to low to moderate income individuals and families during the first quarter of the calendar year. Partnered with the irs to operate a volunteer income tax assistance (vi a) site in queensbury, ny, back pack program to provide weekend meals to area children and scholarships to area high school graduates.
Special education and research: provides special educational and research to aid professionals and the public, improve attitudes and services of its participants. Not for profit agencies served include catholic charities of saratoga, warren and Washington counties, the aids council of neny, glens falls association for the blind, retired and senior volunteer program, and literacy neny.
