The Tri-State Bleeding Disorder Foundation educates, researches and provides specific help for individuals with bleeding disorders. In 2022, it provided direct client assistance in the areas of scholarships for 4 individuals, transportation for 58 individuals, medical ID bracelets for approximately 140 individuals, rent/mortgage payment for 25 families and a car. The foundation also hosted an in-person camp called Njoyitall for kids with bleeding disorders where education focused on self-infusion and other bleeding disorder education. Over two weeks, 22 campers attended.

Program areas at Tri-State Bleeding Disorder Foundation

Tri-State Bleeding disorders provided direct client assistance in 2022 in the following areas: scholarships (4 individuals), transportation (70 individuals), medical id bracelets (approximately 125 individuals), rent/mortgage payment for 20 families, medical equipment for 50 patients and utilities for 18 families. We also provided kroger gift cards to assist with grocery/gas expenses to 100 families. Tri-State held 12 in person educational program with 100 patients & their families attending each event. Tsbdf hosted an educational program for physicians to learn about women with Bleeding disorders. 30 physicians attended this event. These educational events provided information on the medical, mental and practical aspects of living a full life with serious blood disorders. Tri state Bleeding disorders also sent educational mailings to 350 households and newsletters to 650 households.
Tsbdf did host our in-person camp njoyitall for kids with Bleeding disorders this summer. The education focused on self-infusion and other Bleeding Disorder education. 20 campers attended over two weeks.
