Capital Campaign - Tri-Valley Haven operates the only confidential Domestic Violence shelter in the Tri-Valley area and the only one that accepts teenage boys as part of families. Unfortunately, after 40 years of successfully running our shelter, it began to physically fall apart. A primary goal for Tri-Valley Haven is to rebuild our domestic violence shelter, aptly named Shiloh for peace, to ensure local families in crisis will have a safe place to call home for decades. To meet the local need, the new shelter will expand capacity to 45 beds, up from 30. Dedicated play areas and therapy, group and quiet rooms will also be added. Tri-Valley Haven has been working with government funders, foundations, companies, and private donors to raise the funds for our Capital Campaign to rebuild our DV shelter. We have raised over 80% of the funds needed. Tri-Valley Haven anticipates starting the demolition of the old shelter in May 2024 and the rebuild will begin in August 2024. During the rebuild, TVH will safely shelter 30 survivors of domestic violence and their children in two temporary shelter locations (offsite).
