Program areas at Tripura Foundation

In 2023, the foundation made a significant impact by supporting marginalized children, abandoned elders in India, and feeding the hungry across 59 countries through the following initiatives:PHONEMIC INTELLIGENCE (PI) PROGRAMS (GLOBAL)IN LATE 2023, A PLAN WAS ESTABLISHED TO LAUNCH PI TECHNOLOGY IN 3 SCHOOLS LOCATED IN SOUTH AFRICA. THIS PLAN WOULD TRANSFORM THE LIVES OF 650 CHILDREN. FURTHER PLANS ARE UNDERWAY TO EXPAND PI ACROSS AFRICA IN 2024. Key PI initiatives:Hope Learning Centers: supporting marginalized children in India with after-school programs.PI School Program: Expanding PI to schools in South Africa to uplift children globally.Do PI With Me: A free online community offering PI sessions in multiple languages for children and parents.Hope Learning Stations (India)Dr. Pillais PI technology offers every child an equal opportunity to learn and thrive. Specifically designed for marginalized children facing extreme poverty and trauma in rural India, our Hope Learning Station after-school modelguided by Dr. Pillais teachingsgoes beyond traditional education. Hope Stations support students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral growth. Were not just improving academic outcomes but transforming how children learnoffering a powerful solution to learning poverty. Hope children attend our Hope Centers 6 days p/week for two hours, receiving love, support and empowerment. Our Hope curriculum includes:Phonemic Intelligence Practice: Boosts brainpower for learning and emotional strength.Foundational Literacy & Numeracy: Laying the groundwork for a strong academic foundation.Leadership Growth: Shaping compassionate future leaders.Character Empowerment: Building confidence and independence.Academics & Creative Activities: Bringing learning to life through celebration and curiosity.Nutritional Care: Weekly distribution of protein-rich pulses for nourishment.Across 167 Hope Stations, 6,054 children benefited from 3.4 million education hours in 14 Indian states.Hope for the Elderly (India)Through acts of compassion, Hope children served 101 abandoned elders, distributing 1,212 ration kits with food and necessities, bringing dignity and care to those in need.Food for All (Global)Since its launch in 2000, the Food for All initiative (previously known as Million Meals of HoPE) has served over 15 million meals globally. In 2023, we provided 2.4 million meals in 59 countries through our Food for All centers and partnerships with NGOs, continuing Dr. Pillais mission to end suffering and feed the hungry worldwide.
