Program areas at Triumphant 2gether

(a) Healing Peaks:. Healing Peaks is a peer-to-peer support group focused on mental wellness, healing, and community building. Our Healing Circles are co-facilitated by a licensed mental health clinician to provide more value and quality support to participants in a non-clinical setting. Participants are welcomed into a safe and affirming space that everyone is leveled. Our conversations are themed and led with a relatable story. The basis of the group is to share stories, speak from the heart and listen with compassion. Healing Peeks are spaces that women are free to speak without judgment, blaming, and shaming, which is an experience that often occurs with marginalized women. These spaces are created to lift the voices of women. Our spaces are free spirited spaces where women can come together in song, in music, in spoken word, and in solidarity as we unpackage some of the heavier conversations Our spaces recognize our ancestors wisdom, knowledge, and power. Our Healing Circles empower the voices of women and celebrate the intersectionalities of likeness. Our healing circles are non-denominational and we do not impose any religion within the circle. We believe that through shared values and agreements, we can build trust, empathy, compassion, communication skills, and solutions that empower individuals and communities. Circles can be a container for strong feelings, conflict, frustration, anger, fear, hurt, pain, sorrow, and grief;simultaneously fostering healing, strength, joy, understanding, appreciation and liberation. Triumphant Together served approximately 230 participants. In 2021, we also laid the foundation and began the planning process to create additional virtual support spaces for underserved men and youth.
(c) Exit Ramps, an economic empowerment initiative designed to support survivor women through skills building, practical education, and assist them with job-readiness. In 2021, Triumphant Together launched an e-commerce/online shop to examine the viability of the strategy to support and empower survivors in reclaiming self-agency and sustainability through entrepreneurship.
(d) Community Court Support: The purpose of the Community Court Support Project is to educate and support women charged with criminal offenses (commonly known as defendants) in understanding their rights/obligations and actively participating in their defense. For women desiring court support, we assist with: mobilizing family and community to stand with their loved ones, facilitating better communication with defendants public defender/attorney, assist in securing transportation to the Courthouse for defendants and court supporters, trial clothes for the defendant, information on appropriate dress-code, familiarity with rules of the Courthouse, and encouraging the person to actively participate in their defense. We do not provide legal advice. We assisted approximately 5 individuals with court support.
(b) Public Safety App: In 2021, Triumphant Together continued working on the development and engineering of an innovative safety solution that advances the mission of ending violence against all women and girls with specific focus on trans women of color. Violence against vulnerable populations of color has operated historically under antiquated policies and practices that lacked harm reduction and sustainable solutions geared towards protecting those most impacted by violence. The mobile application strives to provide holistic alternatives to addressing ever growing concerns around public safety for all. Our solution is a sophisticated use of technology and alternative safety solutions that are intersectional and compatible for Android and IPhone users in the United States.
