Tulsa Air and Space Museum is a nonprofit organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Our federal tax identification number is 73-1452965. Thank you for your support. Tulsa Air and Space Museum's mission is to preserve Oklahoma’s aerospace heritage to inspire science-based learning through discovery. TASM honors and celebrates Tulsa's rich aviation heritage as well as its future in the aerospace industry. TASM has 19,000 feet of exhibit space, hands-on educational displays, a full dome planetarium, and a newly opened MD-80 Discovery Center.

Program areas at TASM

Exhibits: in 2023, there were 41,918 visitors who toured over 30 exhibits on display at tasm. Tasm's aerospace docents offer a guided interactive tour of the exhibits describing the history of the people and planes which contributed to Oklahoma's rich aerospace heritage. Exhibits available to visitors include: md-80 donated to the Museum by american airlines. The tuskegee legacy exhibit dedicated to the feats of the tuskegee airmen. Grumman f-14a tomcat which is painted in the squadron colors of vf-41 "the black aces." The spartan executive model 12 commissioned by j. paul getty incorporates a tricycle landing gear. The tulsamerican b-24 exhibit honoring those who served during wwii and the last b-24 built in Tulsa.
Planetarium: tasm is home to james e. bertelsmeyer planetarium which inspires curiosity seekers to explore our universe and the wonders of earth. In 2023, there were 25,866 visitors who toured the planetarium which offers an exciting educational experience by pairing stunning high-definition visuals with state-of-the-art technology in full immersive theater atmosphere. Visitors have the opportunity to view over 13 different features including: stars with night sky tour, destination mars, dawn of the Space age, black holes: the other side of infinity, and many more adventures.
Capital campaign: in an effort to continue to be recognized as the premier learning center and tourist destination for aviation and Space exploration past, present and future, tasm has determined a need to expand their existing Museum by adding an additional 200 x 200 square foot ramp. The expansion will highlight an outdoor parking ramp for visiting historic aircraft static display for viewing by visitors.
