Program areas at Tulsa Garden Center
The Teaching Garden and Visitor Center is a demonstration garden in Woodward Park, staffed by well-trained volunteers who share their knowledge and love of gardening with the public through tours, demonstrations, classes, and other educational activities.
The Community Education and Events Center program encompasses the numerous lectures, classes, training, plant shows, and other special educational events hosted by the Tulsa Garden Center throughout the year, also including most all events offered by over 17 affiliated organizations which call the Tulsa Garden Center home such as the Tulsa Audubon Society, the Tulsa Sierra Club, the Tulsa Rose Society, and the Tulsa Garden Club, and lastly includes the Tulsa Garden Center's outreach activities which showcase all Woodward Park historical buildings and structures as community event venues.
Outdoor Classroom at Woodward Park is an educational program serving 5th and 6th grade students, during the school-day, from underserved and economically challenged communities. We curate STEM-based entrepreneurial activity trails based on Oklahoma Academic Standards in order to awaken young human potential.
