Program areas at Tuscarawas Valley Regional Cancer Center

Radiation therapy is provided at the Regional Cancer Center using some of the finest technology available for precise radiation treatments, including a varian 2100c linear accelerator with multi-leaf collimator, an eclipse treatment planning system and a ge ct simulator. The 2100c linear accelerator is equipped with an on-board imager (obi) and rapidarc technology. This equipment allows for precise radiation treatments to be delivered utilizing the latest 3-d conformal and imrt radiation techniques. The on-board imager allows the radiation oncologists to guide the radiation directly to a tumor by imaging the tumor during treatment with a ct scanner that is incorporated into the linear accelerator. Rapidarc technology delivers imrt treatment. Radiation therapy specialists utilize state-of- the-art equipment for treatment and provide compassionate care for their patients. This team includes board certified radiation oncologist, medical physicists,dosimetrists, therapists and support staff. A total of 160 patients were treated in 2022.
