Program areas at Twilight Springs Horse Sanctuary

From a donation of $250,000 from the Agassi Group the foundation used money to remodel and repair the ranch that the horses and donkeys are being cared for. Over $104,000 was spent on fences and gates around the property and barns to protect the animals. The remainder of the spend was on repair and maintenance to the existing structures and systems. We have created a sanctuary for rescued equine to live out their lives.
The rest of the spend for the year was on animal rescue and rehabilitation. It includes Rescue kill pen fees transport fees and costs associated with maintaining the animals once they are relocated to the ranch. Horse feed $43k Medical $10k Transport $5k Rescue fees $13k and miscellaneous of $4k. We have successfully now rescued 9 horses and saved 6 donkeys from slaughter.
