The physician advocacy network (pan) is committed to educating physicians and medical students about e-cigarettes and other tobacco products, engaging them in tobacco policy decisions, and empowering them to become leaders in reducing tobacco use in Minnesota. The goal of pan is to develop a statewide network of physicians and medical students trained to advocate for patients in the exam room and in front of elected officials at the city, county, and state level to affect change beyond the constraints of healthcare systems. As part of this work, the pan also works to educate and engage Health sciences students of all disciplines in tobacco prevention.
