Program areas at Tyler Junior Golf Foundation

The mission statement of The First Tee of Greater Tyler is to impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values, and promote healthy choices through the game of golf. For 2022, this was accomplished through a series of 7-week programs. The Spring program was attended by 268 participants; the Summer program was attended by 225 participants; the Fall program was attended by 150 participants. In addition, the organization was involved in Youth-Serving (formerly the National School Program) in which 19 elementary public and private schools from the Bullard, Lindale, Tyler, Palestine and Whitehouse Independent School Districts and 13,525 students participated.
