In 2023, 20 host families hosted 40+ students during their holiday breaks. With our scale-up, we are expanding the Host Family Program in the US and have a growing network of hosts in the United Kingdom. In 2023, our students were hosted mainly during the short breaks, with several students staying with host families over the summer due to hardships connected with the war and their families being relocated.
The UGS Commitment Letter requires every student to complete at least 16 weeks of internships at Ukrainian organizations during their studies. In 2023, 50+ students have completed 60+ internships in various fields. Non-profit organizations, think tanks focusing on Ukraine, Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and scientific research projects have attracted most UGS interns in 2023. We signed a memorandum of cooperation for the UGS Internship Program with the public organization DiXi Group and the Center for Economic Strategies, which offered internships to UGS students for the first time this year. Our students interned at DiXi Group, the Center for Economic Strategies, Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Nova Ukraine, Razom for Ukraine, ENGin, Precoro, CIVITTA, UNWLA, and Ukrainian Catholic University.
