Program areas at Union County Historical Society

The Society produces lectures, musical programs with local musicians and other events on Historical subjects; produces a newsletter concerning information of interest to members and others; and produces books on local history. Once a year the Society conducts its "mountain heritage festival", which is open to the public to present traditional mountain crafts and activities. The Society continues to collect, conserve, catalog and store Historical artifacts, documents, maps, photographs and books. All of this material is available to the public.
