Program areas at Unison Learning Center
Workshops: Life Drawing Sessions + Movie Lab: Life drawing sessions were offered weekly on Tuesdays and monthly on Saturdays, providing artists, hobbyists, amateur artists, and students the opportunity to work with experienced, professional models in a well-lit, spacious, and comfortable environment. These sessions are non-instructional, allowing participants to focus on their own practice. Movie Lab sessions were offered weekly on Mondays and as a week-long summer camp. Middle school age kids learned the basic principles of moviemaking, storytelling, improvisation and songwriting while playing games and developing collaborative creation and problem-solving skills as we make a movie.
Gallery/Sculpture Garden: Unison presented seven gallery exhibits during the year, that included the works of local artists at different stages of their careers and an MFA students show. Additionally, our woodland sculpture garden was accessible for community members and makers all year long.
Performances: Showcasing Top-Tier Talent Across Diverse Genres. We hosted an eclectic lineup of performances, including a classical quartet, childrens programming, and a silent disco party, offering something for every taste and age group.
The organization offers community space in its galleries galleries to organize and perform their own arts. Community members are invited to use the organizations spaces at below market rates for photography shoots, life-drawing, dance, and design studios. And among other program activities.
