Program areas at United Ministries
Place of hope: guides people who are homeless on their journey to having a home. Provides hygiene services (showers, bathrooms, and laundry), a message center for mail and phone, strong case management, and access to other services.
Striving to thrive: provides economic mobility coaching to support program adult education: provides educational opportunities for adults. Supports services for courses including testing and books, financial support, guidance and case management to those planning to further education. Housing: provides homeless families with emergency shelter and interim housing while working on long-term economic and psychological mobility goals.
Emergency assistance: provides volunteer interviews to 20-50 families each day to determine what kind of help is needed. May include giving money for rent, utilities, heat, food, or prescriptions.
H.e.a.t: provides cooling and heating assistance to the ederly and those with small children in their homes. Emergency food and shelter: provides grocery bags of food to participants.
