Program areas at United States Fellowship
Oak hill house - founded in 1970, the group home today provides services for up to 14 adolescent males, ranging from 14-18 years of age. This is a short-term group home, often providing care for 9 months of the youth's life. The main objective is for family reunification and integration back to their community, and to become productive members of the larger society. One of the main thrusts of this program is family, because they are important, there are family sessions held twice a month in the family home regardless where that home is in Maryland. In addition, three times a year therapeutic family weekends are held on the grounds of the oak hill house program. Lastly, it is important to stress that the boys go home on a regular basis so that the boys and their families can practice the skills that they are learning.
