Promise neighborhood development: the organization worked on expanding in our collective impact efforts in easton. An environmental scan was completed that provide data related to education, economic, and health statistics. Town hall meetings were organized and held throughout the city of easton. The town hall meetings were a mechanism to engage residents and community leaders in determining the best location based on data and community input for the easton promise neighborhood (epn).

Book bound program: in response to ensuring children are entering kindergarten ready to learn, pnlv partnered with the literacy center to design the book bound family literacy program. The program is designed to serve 30 kindergarten families (10 from each apn elementary school). The program will include 20 hours of direct instruction (mixed between parent/child and separate sessions) that will offer family learning experiences related to literacy skills. The culminating product from each family will be individualized published books. Parents/guardians will learn the following skills: 1) how to read aloud to engage children. ; 2) how to use illustrations to tell a story. ; 3) how to have a literacy conversation. 4) create and publish a book with each parent/child pair.
