Program areas at UWD

Communications and program support - aims to provide the tools needed to advance the mission of the organization in the areas of data, digital, and communication skills.
Education and trainings- uwdn aims to provide educational trainings to young immigrants and their families in wellness and healing, and provide access to information related to fighting deportations. It supports immigrant communities and deportation defense teams by providing know-your-rights and deportation defense trainings and resources such as migrawatch hotline and notifica app. It also provides assistance to young immigrants applying for daca renewal
Community organizing - the program aims to build base, organizing, racial justice, intersectional, mobilizing, healing, coalition building, and multi-racial solidarity. The program uplifts the lives of immigrant youth and their families, women of color, and lgbtq communities.
Nonpartisan civic engagement - aims to organize and educate various communities promote nonpartisan civic engagement.
Advocacy - the objective is to lead the organization's organizing priority with an intersectional and racial justice analysis to win concrete policy changes that positively impact the lives of immigrant youth and their families.
Narrative change - the program aims to change the way americans think and feel about immigrants, refugees, and immigration. The program seeks to simultaneously build the skills and capacity of staff and leaders to develop and implement narratives with the goal of impacting the culture in our country.
